RESTYLANE®

How does it work?  Restylane is a clear gel “filler” which plumps up skin beneath wrinkles.  It restores body to depressed areas and smoothes wrinkles.  It can also be used to add fullness and definition to the lips.

How long does it last?  Restylane usually lasts 4-8 months but may last longer.   

Is it safe?  Only bona-fide product produced by Medicis, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Restylane,  is ever used.  Dr. Krever is a licensed, board-certified physician who has been specifically trained in the use of these products.  Restylane consists of a compound already found naturally in the body.  It is not derived from any animal source and requires no pre-testing. 

Who should not use Restylane® Patients with very thin, loose skin usually do not have great results with RestylaneRestylane has not been tested in pregnant women or nursing mothers and while there is no obvious medical reason this would pose a risk, it is not recommended.

How much does it cost?  Restylane comes prepackaged  in single-use syringes.  It is priced by the syringe used.  It is available in a 0.4 ml size appropriate for small corrections or lip augmentation.  Click here for more on pricing.

Juvederm®

How does it work?  Juvederm  is also a clear gel “filler” which plumps up skin beneath wrinkles.  It restores body to depressed areas and smoothes wrinkles.  It can also be used to add fullness and definition to the lips.

How long does it last?  Juvederm Ultra  usually lasts 6-8 months but may last longer.   Juvederm Ultra Plus may last 1 year or longer.

Is it safe?  Only bona-fide product produced by Allergan, the manufacturer of Juvederm, is ever used.  Dr. Krever is a licensed, board-certified physician who has been specifically trained in the use of these products.  Both products consist primarily of a compound already found naturally in the body.  They are not derived from any animal source and require no pre-testing. 

Who should not use Juvederm® Patients with very thin, loose skin usually do not have great results with dermal fillers.  Juvederm has not been tested in pregnant women or nursing mothers and while there is no obvious medical reason this would pose a risk, it is not recommended.
